Making life more affordable for you is my top priority. America is the land of opportunity. If you work hard, you should be able to succeed in the United States; that’s the American Dream. However, inflation, fueled by reckless policies, has made everything more expensive, corporate health insurance giants are crushing patients, and buying a home has become unattainable for many young people.

That’s why, as a senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, I helped write and pass the Working Families Tax Cut into law, the largest middle-class tax cut in decades. This package included No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime Pay, tax relief for seniors, and enhanced the child tax credit and standard deduction. These pro-growth policies will boost paychecks, protect small businesses, and help preserve the American Dream.

I understand how difficult making ends meet has become. I am proud of the meaningful achievements we have so far. However, we must continue our work to build a strong economy that uplifts all Americans and provides opportunities to those who choose to take advantage of them.
